Project Manager 2 (Non-Tech)

Summary:

The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

Typical Day in the Role

  • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of the Skills and Social Impact team is to help skill at scale 26M people in digital and AI skills for the AI economy.
  • Key projects: The Skills for Social Impact Program Enablement coordinator will support the Skills for Social Impact (SSI)program team in determining, designing and delivering go-to-market program and field enablement resources, processes and tools. The role will support the planning, production, and delivery of resources required for Skills for Social Impact insights, direct-to-learner offers, global programs and depth programs.
  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 40% design and developing go-to-market resources and materials 40% project management (multiple projects at once) and 20% meetings/emails/administration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
  • Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

Cross-team collaboration

  • Liaison between SSI Program, field team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to achieve alignment on programmatic and business impact.
  • Monitor and communicate progress on calendar, plans, roadblocks, and mitigation approaches.

Candidate Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 4 overall years of experience in marketing, communications, program management.
  • Degrees or certifications required: no degree is required to be eligible for this role, experience is a MUST
  • Disqualifiers: Candidates with job hopping and tech background will not be eligible for the role. Candidates with no experience with Microsoft platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working within a communications and marketing team, especially internal communication
  • Experience planning, writing, editing, and delivering content in a fast-paced environment for a variety of different audiences (US & International), using different communications materials and channels
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver on time.
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and agile to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Microsoft.
  • Experience in communications, marketing or program management updates.
  • Experience managing a company social handle.

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.
  • Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Teams, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
  • 2-4 years experience required.
