Position SummaryHASI is seeking a Business Analyst to become a member of our team. This position is responsible for supporting multiple ongoing critical and strategic corporate projects and initiatives. Projects can be technology-focused and range from commercial software to custom developed solutions, or process-based changes. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Project Managers and cross-functional teams to perform requirements analysis, documentation of processes and leading project meetings to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. This position will report to the Vice President of Project Management. Key Responsibilities* Evaluate complex situations using multiple sources of information filters; validates and interprets dynamic material* Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and documenting for project team * Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports and notes* Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies * Coordinates and manages cross-discipline team members and vendors to make sure that all parties understand the requirements, business needs, and processes for project development initiatives* Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings * Create visualizations to support collaboration and understanding with leadership, team members, and vendors* Support the product evaluation and selection processes while maintaining balance between procurement cost/benefit today and future implications and limitations* Develop and execute independent verification and validation test scripts and plans, as well as production-based operational acceptance testing
Qualifications* 5+ years of business analyst experience and a demonstrated understanding of processes, artifacts, and tools* Strong working knowledge of Excel and Visio, or similar diagramming tools* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently prioritize tasks* Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices* Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of business analysis* Ability to independently manage some operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between stakeholders and subject matter experts across departments* Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships* An ability to respond quickly and demonstrate excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in doing so* Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management* Experience in business process mapping or operational redesign/improvement* Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management, organizational skills, and an attention to detail* Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders* Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work* Knowledge and experience with financial, accounting, and legal processes highly preferredEEO STATEMENT The Company maintains a policy of non-discrimination in employment and complies with and supports all Federal, state, and local laws regarding discrimination in employment.
