We are seeking Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative science fields for a 12-Week Student Intern role in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.
Position Duties
Develop an agentic chatbot for integrating unstructured and structured data within biopharmaceutical development group.
Investigate the benefits of graph-based approaches (GraphRAG) in chatbot development.
Compare different fine-tuning approaches and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models to enhance the chatbot's performance.
Position Requirements
Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative science field.
Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Cypher/SPARQL is essential.
Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs), foundational models, and RAG models is necessary.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required.
Familiarity with GraphRAG and Knowledge Graphs is ideal.
Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
This role will not be providing OPT support.
Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD for 3-5 days a week. This role can provide relocation assistance to non-local candidates in need.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0
