Summary

The Associate Director of Procurement - Strategic Sourcing is responsible for execution and implementation of  effective procurement and sourcing strategies for Alkermes across multiple spend categories, with an emphasis on Marketing and Sales. Develops short-term and long-term strategies that align with the Company goals for reducing costs and meeting financial expectations. Continuously improves the Company’s global purchasing practices by identifying and leading efforts to proactively consolidate category spend, manage supplier performance, mitigate risk, and gain visibility to total spend. Performs spend analysis, market & supplier assessments to ensure best in class strategic sourcing strategies and category spend management. The Marketing & Sales categories include, advertising agencies, media, marketing & sales events and services, and other professional services across all categories of spend.

This role directly supports the strategy driving rapid growth of the company and the dynamic needs of Alkermes business functions involved in the assigned categories. It is critical to scaling the business. This leader will be responsible for working with business teams and develop a purchasing strategy that supports the organization’s strategic plan.
