Purpose:
Accountabilities:
- Develop capital forecast for Bermuda entities to help lead key business decisions
- Analyze quarterly Bermuda capital reporting and maintain a projection process (understanding inputs, drivers of results, perform variance analysis, and provide management reporting)
- Manage the legal entity capital projection process (dividends, contributions, M&A transactions, Reinsurance, etc.)
- Partner with Risk, Actuarial and Finance to measure capital needs under business as usual and stress conditions; assist in the refinement of the Bermuda financial projections
- Assess and analyze evolving and newly emerging regulatory and rating agency capital requirements and recommend actions where appropriate
- Provide insight to the company’s capital position and develop recommendations to the business
- Partner with Finance leaders on rating agency support, capital management transactions and other matters
Qualifications and Experience:
- 7+ years of experience, preferably in the insurance industry with an understanding of Economic Capital, US NAIC RBC as well as rating agency capital models (S&P, A.M. Best)
- 4+ years of direct or indirect people leadership experience
- Thorough understanding of Bermuda Statutory and EBS capital
- Strong finance, accounting (US GAAP and Statutory), skills including strong balance sheet and income statement projection knowledge
- Strategic and analytical thinker with ability to focus on details and synthesize into actionable recommendations
- BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Math, Actuarial Science, OR equivalent experience. Completion of CPA, CFA, MBA, or ASA/FSA or equivalent is required
$137,796.00 - $206,694.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
