Job Description:
Berklee seeks a Workday Project Manager for an up to 3-year temporary full-time opportunity, supporting a multi-year initiative to implement Workday Student. This position will play an important role on the project implementation team, working closely with the Workday platform owner, implementation partner project manager, functional and technical leads, as well as other key project team members to manage project budgets, overall risks/issues, project health, and ensure that the project follows agreed upon governance and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience leading business application/system implementations in the higher ed environment.Reporting to the Senior Director for Project Management and Business Analysis - Enterprise Technology Services, and working closely with Workday platform owner, the Workday Project Manager (WPM) will collaborate with business and technology teams as we seek to leverage our Workday platform investment in support of music and performing arts education in an expanding portfolio of programs offered online and on our campuses in the United States and Europe.
Job Purpose:
The Workday Project Manager (WPM) functions in a key role as the project manager on Berklee’s Workday Student implementation project and is responsible for managing the overall project risks/issues and project health, and to ensure that the project follows agreed upon governance and Workday/partner implementation methodologies. They will manage and monitor budgets/statements of work, and support project leadership to coordinate scheduling, create presentations & agendas, and facilitate PMO and various project governance meetings. They will be very detail-oriented, self-motivated, results oriented, as well as an excellent communicator. They will partner with the implementation partner’s project manager to ensure that the project is progressing forward and is meeting established milestones, and assist in the management and escalation of overall project risks and issues that may be impacting progress.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and monitor overall project activities ensuring deliverables meet quality and performance objectives
Oversee and manage overall project performance, cost, scope, schedule and quality
Partner with Functional and Technical leads, PMO leadership, and implementation partner PM to track and monitor project health, and escalate issues through established project governance
Provide oversight and support for all implementation project tracking tools such as; build plan, project plans, workset playbooks, RAID log, etc.
Managing the vendor; ensuring implementation partner is delivering in accordance to the statement of work, project plan, project charter, and adhering to the project schedule
Delivering status updates to Project Leadership in collaboration with Implementation Partner’s Project Management
Facilitating internal Project Task / Action Items meetings with Project Owner, Functional Lead, and Technical Lead
Facilitate internal weekly Project Management meetings
Create and deliver project level documentation and provide scheduling coordination (i.e. status meetings and reports, working sessions and agendas, presentations to support various project governance meetings), and manage overall project RAID logs, Project Plans etc.
Maintain a high level of communication with internal and external teams; providing clear, tactful, and complete directives, realistic deliverable deadlines and prompt feedback
Additionally, this role is responsible for daily project operations and project administration; including but not limited to: coordinating Berklee resources, room scheduling & meeting coordination, and facilitating the document approval processes.

Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and relevant business process analysis and/or project management training and experience required
Workday implementation experience in a Project Management role (Workday Student strongly preferred)
Project Management Professional (PMP), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification a plus
Sound project management knowledge, skills and abilities with a variety of methodologies (waterfall, lean, agile) and business process tools (e.g. swim lane diagrams), and the flexibility to apply the best method to the needs of each project
Experience in a higher education environment strongly preferred
Experience with Google Workspace/G Suite productivity apps (e.g. Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc) and Smartsheet preferred
Required Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills to understand the broad range of needs and various support requirements for delivering exemplary customer service
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats as well as to create and maintain positive, productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical personnel, both internal and external (e.g. vendor partners)
Ability to operate independently and set priorities amongst multiple task assignments
Excellent judgment and strategic skills for ensuring mutually positive outcomes, balancing internal priorities with client objectives
Ability to manage multiple tasks, assignments, and projects
Attention to detail, and ability to achieve results
Proven ability to work & lead effectively in a highly diverse campus community
