The Vendor Compliance Senior Specialist will report to the Manager, Vendor Compliance and will help support retailer and supplier vendor compliance in North America. We are looking for an individual who has proven experience in coordinating operational processes and possesses in-depth knowledge of vendor compliance policies and tools. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that vendors comply with all established guidelines and requirements set forth by our retail partners in North America.

This role requires an individual with a passion for vendor compliance and operational process development and a willingness to be agile and adapt to changing trends. Successful candidates will have strong attention to detail and foster strong relationships with vendors, optimize operational efficiency, and contribute to the overall improvement of the business through enhanced compliance processes.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Vendor Compliance Support Activities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive vendor compliance policies and procedures.
  • Regularly assess and audit vendor performance to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Address non-compliance issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Collaboration with Retail Partners:

  • Maintain open communication channels with retail partners to stay informed about updates or changes in compliance requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and retailers to address compliance-related issues promptly for both new and existing customers.

Process Improvement and Technology Integration:

  • Identify areas for process enhancement within the vendor compliance workflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and streamline operations.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements in supply chain management.
  • Explore and implement relevant technologies to enhance communication, track compliance, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to reduce lead times and enhance product flow.

Documentation and Training:

  • Develop and update comprehensive compliance documentation for vendors.
  • Provide training and support to vendors, ensuring a clear understanding of compliance expectations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive retailer matrix that can be easily accessed and used as a reference guide by cross-functional teams.

Issue Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related disputes or discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to address root causes and implement preventive measures.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights into supply chain performance.
  • Generate regular reports on compliance metrics, vendor performance, and key operational KPIs.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement.

Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Foster positive relationships with vendors through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance and support to vendors to help them meet compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to ensure a unified approach to compliance and optimization.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional teams to drive overall business improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between retailers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and ensure that the company and its vendors are compliant.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to create contingency plans for potential disruptions.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Retailer Vendor Compliance Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of North American retail industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and the use of relevant tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range for this position is $82,500 - $111,500 DOE.
