Position:Transmission Engineer
Location:Portland, Oregon or Salt Lake City, Utah
Experience:3+ years of relatable professional experience in engineering, construction management, or project management preferred
Hours:M-F, 40 hours per week
Length of Assignment:6 month contract + potential for conversion
Job Description:
Project Scope:
- Responsible for standards within Transmission & Distribution (T&D), covering overhead lines, underground lines, and all construction aspects.
- Address supplier questions and act as the company Subject Matter Expert (SME) for failure analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Client has focus on solar and wind projects alongside T&D
- Large focus on connecting existing transmission lines across the West to East Coast
High-Level Individual Duties:
- Address supplier questions and act as the company Subject Matter Expert (SME) for failure analysis.
- Enforce standards within Transmission & Distribution (T&D), covering overhead lines, underground lines, and all construction aspects.
- LISCAD OR CAD exp in Utility company
- O-Calc Pro
- ASPEN
- Fundamental understanding of pertinent governing body rules, regulations, and requirements like NESC, GO 95, IEEE, ASTM, ASCE, as they relate to material, material installation, and procedures
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in Utility T&D with larger companies
