Position Summary
As a Terminal Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the use of common-use terminal assets at MSP Airport. This includes overseeing gate control, ticket counter, and bag claim assignments for both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Utilizing advanced technologies such as the Resource Management System (RMS) and other enabling systems, you will maintain a comprehensive understanding of terminal operations.
As the first point of contact for operations and maintenance concerns, you will conduct routine facility and ramp inspections, documenting your findings and ensuring necessary work orders are completed. Responding to service calls and requests from internal and external stakeholders, you will be instrumental in incident response coordination and recovery efforts.
Your responsibilities extend to overseeing the safe, continuous, environmentally responsible, and efficient operation of airport terminal activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Operations Coordinators also monitor tenant adherence to published policies and provide various user/tenant services as assigned. This role involves active participation in meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, where you will not only attend but also facilitate discussions.
This is a safety-sensitive position which will require a pre-employment drug screen.
Open Position Details:The current shift opening for this role is Wednesday - Saturday overnight from 09:00pm - 07:00am.* * Please note that shifts can change, this is just the current opening of the team. Also, there is sometimes opportunities for overtime or covering others shifts as needed to accommodate sick time or vacation time of team as this department runs 24/7, 365 days a year.

Supervisory - Reports to assigned Terminal Operations Assistant Manager
Organizational - Extensive contact with other MAC departments including Airside Operations, the Emergency Communications Center, Trades, Field Maintenance and Concessions. Minimal contact with MAC Chairman and Commissioners
External Business - Frequent contact with MAC tenants, airport community, vendors, contractors, Federal Agencies, and other external organizations. This position also includes contact with the general public
Job Duties
Terminal Operations, Facilities Management and Maintenance- Receive incoming calls for Terminal Operations and Facilities during assigned shift. Engage the on-call personnel as needed
- Allocate and communicate the daily use of all common use gates, ticket counters, baggage handling systems and other common use equipment to airlines stakeholders
- Track use of all MAC common use facilities including gates, ticket counters and baggage handling systems
- Monitor and coordinate daily airport operations to ensure compliance with MAC ordinances and policies
- Communicate with pilots, airline personnel, contracted service providers, TSA, CBP, the public and others
- Respond and conduct initial investigation for incoming service calls
- Monitor activity and use of Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and other assigned areas
- Assist with scheduled and unscheduled utility shutdowns
- Assist with the coordination of various terminal and airport construction projects as needed
- Responsible for monitoring and making corrections as needed to terminal seating, sign stanchions, queue stanchions and other facility needs during assigned shift
- Respond to emergencies and maintenance issues at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
- Monitor and support customer service functions for departure level and checkpoint queue operations as assigned [KG1] [KC2]
- Coordinate common use terminal asset assignments and changes with airline personnel and ground staff
- Accommodate aircraft diversions by coordinating gate assignments, parking areas, and ground handling needs in cooperation with Airside Operations and other stakeholders
- Continuously maintain situational awareness of airport and terminal activity
- Update public digital signage and displays
- Perform routine indoor and outdoor inspections of the terminal, gate aprons and passenger boarding bridges
- Issue work orders using computerized systems and coordinate required maintenance and cleaning activities with other MAC departments, contractors, airlines, and terminal tenants
- Host and attend meetings, both in person and virtual
- Performs miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned
- Perform position responsibilities in accordance with MAC Policy 20-01 in the Human Resources Policy and Procedure Guide.

Minimum Requirements- Education and Relevant Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in an Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related aviation field plus 2 years of relevant experience in airport/airline operations OR
- Associate's Degree in an Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related aviation field plus 4 years of relevant experience in airport/airline operations OR
- High School Diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience in airport/airline operations
- Ability to work independently, without close supervision
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external business partners at all levels of organizations
- Strong technical skills to utilize a variety of software applications
- Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain situational awareness across multiple terminals
