Resp & Qualifications
The primary objectives of the Technical Writer & Quality Analyst Intern are to learn, support, engage with, and augment the duties of the application team. Key responsibilities include:
- Basic information gathering, documentation, research, and learning of multiple tools/instruments/methodologies/processes involved with Quality, Process and Vendor Management capabilities
- Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Compile data as required to define the scope of ongoing efforts
- SharePoint administration and configuration
- Collaborate with business leaders to define and provide IT solutions in an agile environment
- Responsibilities will shift based on candidates technical background and acumen
Ideally this opportunity would run as a year-round internship program. The student is someone who can work part-time 15-20 hours throughout the year in the Fall/Spring AND full time 35 40 hours in the Summer. The anticipated start date for this internship will be in January of 2025.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- This internship is open to a rising Junior and Senior Undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration, Communications, Technical Writing or Journalism
- Interest in technical writing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent facilitation and organizational skills
- Exposure to Quality and/or Vendor Management methodologies and frameworks is helpful
RERQUIRED ABILITIES/SKILLS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, a self-starter
- Must be reliable, hard-working and have a strong work ethic
- Requirements gathering skills desired but not required
- Customer service mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to positively interface with and establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external vendors.
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and reprioritize work as necessary
- Must have strong PC skills especially working in Microsoft Excel
Salary Range Disclaimer
The hire range posted is an annual rate. All Undergraduate Intern positions will be paid $18.50/hour.
