Calling all Communications experts with experience in medical communications and/or the pharmaceutical space. Our global scientific communications team is looking for a Sr. Scientific Medical Communications Specialist to join their team in a temporary capacity.
Details: This is a hybrid role in Cambridge or Bridgewater Massachusetts, 40 hour per week for 3 months with a possibility to extend. Hours are 8-5p EST, but may flex.
This Sr. Scientific Medical Communications Specialist will be responsible for:
- Ensuring successful development and execution of medical communications & education plans
- Developing strategically aligned, balanced, and accurate scientific communication points to guide the development of internal and external global and local medical communication
- Ensuring delivery of high-quality, fair-balanced, scientifically/clinically accurate medical communications resources including, scientific platforms, lexicons, and FAQs/trainings and disease backgrounders in accordance with established timelines, compliance guidelines/policies, and budgets
- Developing global medical education plans based on medical strategies and identified HCP educational gaps
- Designing and developing educational content, in collaboration with internal partners and external HCP experts, for live education programs, congress symposia, online/digital education, multi & omnichannel HCP education, field medical tools, slide decks, and medical booth exhibits
- Forecasting annual med com/education budgets and resource needs, contracting for agency support, and managing finance reconciliations, invoicing, and accruals
The Sr. Scientific Medical Communications Specialist's required qualifications are:
- Minimum Education: PHARM D or PHD
- Sr. Scientific communications experience within pharmaceutical industry required
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience
- Digital experience, with experience with digital platforms
- Strong social communication skills, experience with LinkedIn, Instagram, Omni-channel experience
- Communications and publications experience
- Knowledge of the publication process, validation, reviews, experience working with agencies
- Experience with Veeva
The Sr. Scientific Medical Communications Specialist's preferred qualifications are:
- 5+ years preferred Sr. Scientific communications experience within pharmaceutical industry
- Expertise in Dermatology
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
