This role is responsible for planning and coordinating aspects of projects, varying in number, size, and complexity, for the organization from initiation to delivery, including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and final delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manages business, IT and vendor resources project tasks along with the implementation of system enhancements, upgrades and migrations between platforms.
  • Coordinates the work activities for multiple functions to ensure satisfying delivery. Manages all aspects of the project lifecycle including defining project requirements, performing feasibility, and needs/impact assessments, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
  • Develops detailed project plans in coordination with system engineers and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
  • Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and/or other performance indicators, and prepares reports for leadership.
  • Assists with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors.
  • Serves as liaison between internal teams, vendors, and technical aspects of projects.
  • May act as an informal leader, guiding the day-to-day work of other project managers.
  • Seek clarity and answers to questions around project strategy and scope as needed. Reviews project content for accuracy, compliance, and appeal. Ensure all points of initial brief are satisfied.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience, required.
  • Master's degree (or international equivalent), preferred.
  • Licensure or certification, preferred.
  • Project management certification, preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience, required.
  • 9+ years of related experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure disciplines including network, service desk, data center, infrastructure and required systems integration.
  • Technical working knowledge of infrastructure technologies (servers, storage, network etc.)
  • Effective negotiation skills with the ability to influence and drive decision-making with internal stakeholders, customers, and/or vendors.
  • Highly skilled in analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths/weaknesses of alternative solutions, analyze costs and benefits, evaluate options, and implement solutions while managing resources appropriately.
  • Project leadership skills with the ability to coordinate project phase tasks and dependencies, lead the work of others, and navigate project teams through roadblocks.
  • Strong industry knowledge and an understanding of related best practices and processes with strong knowledge of project management software such as JIRA, Wrike, and Microsoft Office suite .
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate across teams, levels, and functional areas of the organization.
  • Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
