What You Will Be Doing?
- Manage the new hire process including posting open positions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, maintaining and processing paperwork, conducting background checks and conducting new hire orientation.
- Process leave requests for FMLA, ADA, disability, military, and other types of leave including but not limited to: track leave status, documentation, and return-to-work dates, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and educating employees and managers on leave policies.
- Develop recruitment strategies including compensation evaluation, determining Exempt/Non-Exempt status, writing job descriptions and renegotiating fees with recruiters to achieve required staffing levels.
- Maintain and directs the efforts of employment agencies, search firms and community centers or groups that may assist with candidate recruitment.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale and training and development.
- Prepare employee separation documentation and conduct exit interviews.
- Support department in the annual evaluation cycle.
- Manage department information, including: intranet site and resource documentation, internal electronic files and reports.
- Process invoices and prepare documentation for executives as requested.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Liaise with HRIS Administrator for defining key management reports and issuance.
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 4-7- years experience in the human resources profession as a HR Generalist.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience with UKG and full life-cycle talent acquisition
- Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to HR, recruiting, and employee relations.
- Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required.

- Occasional travel to our corporate offices and mall properties
