Responsibilities

The Law Department of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, a Fortune 50 company, is hosting a Paralegal Spring Intern Program designed to provide exposure to a variety of areas within the department and State Farm for rising paralegal students. This program strives to provide our paralegal interns with meaningful hands-on work experiences leveraging training, mentoring, and development opportunities within our Corporate Law Division. Our interns will be exposed to a variety of legal areas including litigation and counseling areas and will draft factual case summaries, conduct legal research, and complete project work.

Spring Internship Dates: 1/13/2025 - 5/9/2025

Hours: Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week (1 day in the office and 1.5 days remote)

    • Due to the short duration of the spring program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the spring internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
    • Pay: $22/hour

HYBRID: Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment. Please note that relocation benefits will not apply. Work arrangements could change based on environment and business needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Paralegal Degree or Certificate Program at an accredited institution and must remain enrolled as a student for the duration of the internship.
  • Completion of Legal Research 1 and Litigation 1 courses or the equivalent is required.
  • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunity.
