**This position requires a CDL License with a "P" passenger endorsement & unexpired medical examiners card**
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect bus to meet engineering, quality standard and customer requirements
- Drive vehicle on road conditions to check ride and function
- Drive vehicle on brake test strip to check braking capabilities
- Complete all quality function documents for QA improvement assessments
- Communicate quality issues back to responsible production, M.E. and management team members
- Previous experience or knowledge of chassis assembly operations is preferred
- Will work with measuring tools such as tape measure, etc.
- Must be computer literate, positive written, and oral communication skills
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Notify supervisor when issues arise
- Operate within standard operating procedures and job safety analysis
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Attend daily safety department meetings
- Communicate with supervisors and other team members throughout their shift to ensure daily tasks are clear
EDUCATION, SKILLS, & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Must have a CDL license with a passenger endorsement
- Must sign MVR agreement and pass motor vehicle records checks
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and blueprints
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes
- Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sharp edges, and congested working areas
- Will be pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
- Must meet established quality and production standards
- Practice good housekeeping
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must meet established attendance policy and work overtime when required
- Must perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Must meet acceptable job performance appraisals
