Supply Planner, Central FL (CFL)
As our Supply Planner, CFL you will have a direct impact on $30MM per year plant-to-port rail and truck transportation costs as well as vessel demurrage and shifting costs. In this role you will ensure Central Florida domestic and plant-to-port phosphate loading and shipments are optimally planned and communicated to Plants, Product Management, and Sales Service. Every day you will manage the Phosphates unit train, single car and truck schedule to support Mosaic Business Planning processes ensuring integration across the supply chain. Working closely with the logistics teams you will manage bookings and control costs. Where will you work: This position will be located at our NA business headquarters at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive | Lithia, FL. Hybrid with three dedicated office days of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with the opportunity to work from home Wednesday and Friday. You will also be eligible to work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
What you’ll do:
Publish CFL bucket list and works closely with the Inventory Manager and River Planner to ensure alignment on inventory availability.
Lead CFL priority meetings during high demand seasons.
Analyze export market demand and develop the necessary replenishment plan to optimize the positioning of finished products at the ports.
Track and manage volume requirements for owned and third-party port warehouses and looks at future opportunities for product placement and cost control to support future demand growth.
Plan Phosphate rail and truck domestic and plant-to-port shipments from CFL sites according to supply constraints and commercial priorities
Manage and update the plant-to-port and domestic planning modules daily to ensure alignment with the logistics teams and product management.
Manage phosphate STOs for plant to port movements to meet anticipated port demand.
Follow the Inventory manager guidance and provide change recommendations to optimize the shipping plan and cover the order book.
Work with all logistics teams (Rail, Truck and Marine) to ensure equipment is available for the tactical plan and adjust the plan as needed.
Provide Phosphate loading and shipping plan to the CFL sites and monitor execution for changes, analyze to determine corrective action and redirect as needed.
Ensure all sites loading capabilities are aligned with the tactical plan.
Advise Product Management and Marine Team of appropriate vessel timing basis product availability.
Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales, Warehousing and Customer Service on product availability and timing.
Conduct the morning operation call and participate in the weekly port meeting.
Communicate shipment schedules to sales service and advise shipment status as requested and publish CFL bucket list.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, business management or related discipline
A minimum of four years’ experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain and/or operations
Proven ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Able to influence and drive decisions through the S&OE process
Ability to develop innovative and creative output based on data interpretation and analysis.
Pro-active and flexible to quickly adapt and respond to new or changing business priorities.
Provide back up support with planning activities if others on the team on vacationing or traveling.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Advanced level expertise in Excel.
SAP-ERP and SAP-IBP.
Bonus points if you have the following:
Master's degree in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
Experience using optimization, analytics and visualization software technologies
Experience in planning software
