Job Description
The Senior RFP Specialist is responsible for preparing responses to institutional and retail RFPs and due diligence questionnaires. The position works closely with all sales channels to represent Virtus’ investment capabilities and value proposition to current/future clients and prospects. Duties include, but are not limited to, completion of RFPs/DDQs, peer review of RFPs/DDQs produced by team, and coordination and relationship management with key stakeholders. The production process requires adherence to strict deadlines and may at times require overtime during peak periods.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Write high volumes of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and client updates for institutional and retail prospects/clients, focusing on larger and/or more complex RFPs and consultant questionnaires that require additional research, analysis, creativity and judgment.
- Serve as peer reviewer for teammates requests as needed.
- Serve as team subject matter experts for assigned affiliate(s) and Virtus department(s). Responsible for serving as liaison with affiliate/department, ensure consistency of responses across organization, coordinate quarterly reporting, manage communications, and serve as primary contact for affiliate RFP team.
- Support Affiliate RFP teams and internal departments as needed by responding to ad-hoc requests related to RFP responses.
- Assist consultant database team with content review and other support.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 8 years investment management industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of financial products and asset classes with a preference for experience working with real assets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage competing obligations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and work independently. Ability to effectively manage new projects, existing maintenance, shifting priorities, and multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
The salary range is $84,000 to $117,000.
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
