Senior Project Manager, Inclusive Suites

Work Mode:Hybrid

Location: Hybrid -Kohler, WI

Opportunity

You will be accountable for the coordinated organization, strategy, direction and implementation of a portfolio of projects and activities that together align with the business needs and achieve outcomes / realize benefits that are of strategic importance. You'll executed the New Product Schedule utilizing cross-functional resources and the NPD process.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordination and Project Management of New Product Development projects/ Migration Projects and Managing the Portfolio for North America Aging and Ability projects
  • Lead product development teams to launch innovative new products and improve the quality, performance and/or cost of existing products.
  • Manage cross functional teams using the KBDP new product development process through market launch. Drive each Program to defined metrics.
  • Develop and manage the project budget with the team including development expense, capital tooling and expense tooling. Guide the team to develop new products that meet cost targets.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules and adhere to the KBDP process. Manage deliverables and tasks within each phase of a project. Anticipates and manages tasks/risks within each project.
  • Participate in performance expectations and evaluations for cross functional teams. Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed.
  • Communicate to senior management on project status, execution plans, and process.
  • Define and facilitate decision-making process for development teams. Coaches project team personnel to develop and implement cross-functional solutions to complex issues.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior management for the purpose of aligning NPD objectives and removing obstacles for project completion.
  • Drive improvements in creative problem solving and continually improve the KBDP process and organization
  • Change Agent / Process improvement:
  • Regularly provide feedback and ideas/solutions for process improvements including the New Product Development process and manufacturing processes.
  • Regularly provide feedback and actively participate in the improvement of project management practices within the Program Management group.
  • Support Marketing on developing product Roadmaps and Prep for NPS meetings.
  • Leadership & Mentoring:
  • Assist/mentor less experienced team members, rotation program engineers as needed.
  • Support on managing Platform meeting and top project reviews in the region

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a product development related discipline (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, or Design) with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in concurrent product development (project management, product design, process engineering or manufacturing engineering).
  • Experience in managing projects, working in cross-functional team environment, and/or functioning as project team leader required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership and analytical skills required
  • Experience on MS Project / Teams / Project Online or other Project Management software.
  • MBA / PMP / Prince 2 certification would be an added advantage.
  • Travel required 10% to 20% as part of the role visiting Kohler and Vendor facility basis project needs.

The salary range for this position is $98,900 - $125,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
