DUTIES: Represent technology, strategy, and architecture in programs/initiatives; partner with business stakeholders to confirm understanding of business strategy and drivers, provide solutions architecture recommendations, design, and guidance; lead the evaluation and selection of technology products to meet strategic business initiatives; initiate and execute proofs of concept and build prototypes to assess new solution approaches and technologies; assist to develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, integration, and implementation; review and approve architecture analyses and designs to ensure fulfillment of requirements; engage with partners and vendors from research to ensuring service delivery; produce conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic business and technology objectives through documentation of systems, architectures, process flows and value-chains; manage tradeoffs between speed to market, quality, security, and financial impact; work alongside development teams, leading meetings where necessary, and serve as a guide and decision maker for technical solutions; analyze current architecture to identify gaps and opportunities for enhanced capabilities and automation frameworks; analyze trends in technology to assess the impact of emerging technologies on the business, and to provide viable solutions that address technology and business needs.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a software engineer, backend developer, consultant, architect, or in a related/similar position, working on software architecture including application and infrastructure environments, SaaS based applications and services, services gateways or access-control environments, cloud-based solution and consumer facing environments, and data architecture, design, and ERD creations. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, employer will accept a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 3 years of experience in the above. Experience therein to include 2 years with concepts of application architecture from small to enterprise scales, AWS cloud infrastructure/application design, data and cloud security protocols and requirements, network infrastructure, and system, platform and account migrations, API implementation and authentication systems, API management solutions (including API Gateway, Developer Portal, and Analytics), and using SQL, JavaScript, Python, REST, JSON, and Postman. Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.
