This position is hybrid, and can be based out of the following TNC CA offices: Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, or Ventura.

WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Senior Operation Manager will work as part of a team within the California Business Unit providing overall direction for one or more operations functions, and lead support for one or more conservation or programmatic areas The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for functions such as Safety, Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Facilities, Information Systems, Office Management, Training, Contracts, and/or Volunteer Programs. The Senior Operations Manager will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the program by developing and coordinating tactics for approved plans and completing and/or overseeing day-to-day tasks. They may be responsible for central administrative processes, including facility management, telecommunications, mailroom operations, human resources, finance, and telephone/public reception, maintaining office supplies and equipment, and processing purchasing requests. They may be responsible for development and implementation of annual budgets, managing the process for annual planning, and monitoring progress. The Senior Operations Manager will provide guidance in satisfying requirements based on extensive knowledge of policies and procedures.

They will work closely with the Director of Operations and other Senior Operations Managers to develop and manage guidelines and analyze information to achieve results, improve workflow, and solve problems. They will provide advice, recommendations, and training related to the functional activity they manage. The Senior Operations Manager must become familiar with the systems and resources utilized by the team and apply knowledge to managing support and designing communications related to the resources. They will develop documentation, modify processes, and participate in the enhancement of systems and tools used by the team. The Senior Operations Manager will work in close cooperation with any or all the following: Conservancy staff, donors, trustees, vendors, public agencies, and legal and accounting professionals. They will report to leadership on activities. They will manage diverse tasks, analyze situations, evaluate alternatives, project outcomes, and implement solutions to improve effectiveness. This position will require travelling occasionally and working long and flexible hours as needed. The work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

* Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination, including 2 years managing operations functions.
* Finance/Accounting experience.
* Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
* Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data.
* Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement.
* Experience with current technology in relevant field.
* Experience supervising staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams.
* Experience handling confidential information.

SALARY INFORMATION

The starting pay for this position is within the range of $80,300 - $103,125 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA and state of employment is California. The salary range for this position will the following based on location:

Sacramento, San Diego, and Ventura: $80,300 - $94,450

Los Angeles and San Francisco: $87,700 - $103,125

Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's location, qualifications, skills, and experience. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
