The OpportunityAre you a seasoned security professional with expertise in vulnerability management within a product development environment? If so, join our team as the Senior Manager of our Threat & Vulnerability Management Program. As the overall program lead in vulnerability management for our product R&D department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our security posture and driving compliance initiatives. With your experience in building effective threat and vulnerability management programs, you will lead our team to new heights in safeguarding our products and partnerships against potential threats.
About the TeamAt Nutanix, you'll have the opportunity to join our Product Security & Compliance team, a group of around 40 professionals located across the US, Canada, India, and Serbia. Our team culture is rooted in shared values, open feedback, trust, and a commitment to working together as one cohesive unit.You will report to our VP of Engineering and Chief Product Security Officer. The work setup for this role is fully remote, with no requirement to go into the office. Additionally, the travel requirements for this position are minimal, with only around 10% per year expected or less.
Your Role
- Design, oversee, and regulate vulnerability management program
- Update and execute long-term strategic plan for vulnerability management
- Work with risk management to develop consistent and actionable risk ratings
- Provide mature reporting and drive remediation efforts
- Develop metrics to track progress and elevate risk awareness
- Align scanning, reporting, and tracking in compliance with industry regulations
- Build relationships with key industry partners
- Lead, communicate and collaborate effectively with teams
What You Will Bring
- Experience building and governing threat and vulnerability management programs
- Knowledge of vulnerability management in product development environments
- Familiarity with proprietary and open-source components
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan for vulnerability management
- Experience working with risk management teams
- Ability to create actionable remediation requirements
- Metrics development and risk awareness
- Understanding of industry regulations and standards related to vulnerability management
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 185,600 and USD $ 370,800 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
