Reporting to the SVP & Chief Procurement Officer you will play a critical part in cross functional work to optimize logistics network while nurturing and creating strategic partnerships with logistics partners in both warehousing and transportation.
You Will:
- Direct the development and implementation of strategic sourcing for logistics networks to achieve expanded capacity, achieve optimal savings, quality standards, and service levels.
- Develop strategy and structure for logistics spend to support operating divisions. Balance centralized spend (as well as policies and procedures) with divisional goals especially in procurement of specific resources to ensure maximum standardization, buying efficiency, and used buying.
- Gain advantage on spend consolidation, specification standardization, and other procurement strategies.
- Develop and maintain external high-level business relationships, including important supplier relationships, participation in relevant trade and association meetings, regular meetings and conferences with important suppliers, customers, and other relevant activities to ensure constructive supplier and customer relationships and the maintenance of our continued good standing with suppliers and customers.
- Develop comprehensive engagement and communication strategy to foster enthusiastic participation from different divisions and functions across the company in broad-based sourcing initiatives and centralized category management of identified spend categories. This executive must be recognized for shifting the mindset from transactional to transformational by creating a network of external partners who can deliver on cost, quality and service.
- Directly lead procurement team including selecting employees, assigning work, providing training and development, evaluating performance, and building a motivated, effective team to ensure that organizational goals for diversity, career development, productivity, performance management and employee involvement are met. This executive will be recognized for developing teams and developing the next generation of world-class procurement talent.
- Provide high-level procurement support to international operations where requested.
- Participate in developing the strategic direction of the company to ensure the achievement of projected growth, profitability, and customer service goals for the nearer- and longer-term market challenges and opportunities.
- Expertise in market trends that can be used for forecasting in all logistics both dry and temp warehousing and all modes or transportation.
You have specific combination of knowledge:
- Purchasing concepts and techniques.
- Strategic sourcing, category management concepts, and contract management best practices specific to logistics.
- Operational Experience in Logistics
- Contracting and commercial legal practices, laws, regulations, etc.
- Strategic planning and forecasting concepts and approaches.
- Project management concepts and techniques.
- Budgetary concepts and procedures.
- Concepts and techniques related to a developed team-based culture.
You have the following skills:

- Develop and implement through the procurement team, successful sourcing strategies.
- Experience with multi-year contract negotiations.
- Contract management systems including delegation of authority processes.
- Achieve targeted cost savings, safety, quality results.
- Recruit, lead and retain a diverse procurement team.
- Direct and motivate employees in a team-based organization.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to the highest-level management, customers, and other representatives of external organizations.
- Use and direct the use of several PC-based word-processing, spreadsheet, analytical programs
- Work in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service.
Education:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or a related area is required.

Compensation:
Pay Range:$151,000-$233,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
