The Opportunity
Hyatt seeks a motivated and prolific Senior Data Product Manager passionate about data to help us build the next generation of data products, algorithms, and applications. The Data Product Manager is responsible for defining data product vision(s) and guiding the creation of world-class data products democratizing access, accelerating algorithmically powered processes, and fostering data-driven decision-making across the company. The Role
In this role, you'll define and guide the development of business-critical, scalable, and robust data solutions, and intuitive and trustworthy data products that power data discovery, self-serve analytics, and operational processes and drive business innovation. This position will guide data product research, facilitate product strategies, design solutions, and guide Hyatt's agile development and product roll-out processes.
You will be part of a global data community and work in cross-functional and agile teams alongside Data Engineers, Data Stewards, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, other Application Product Managers, and executives to improve the experience of guests and colleagues worldwide.
Responsibilities
•As a Senior Data Product Manager for HR Data Products, you will be responsible for defining and guiding the development of business-critical, scalable, and robust data solutions that power data discovery, self-serve analytics, and operational processes, and drive business innovation for Hyatt’s HR organization and across the company.
•Product Strategy & Vision: Develop the vision, roadmap, and direction for Hyatt’s HR data products, which will optimize HR processes and drive value in areas such as workforce planning, recruitment, talent management, and employee engagement.
• End-to-end Product Management: Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment and ongoing optimization, ensuring that each solution is aligned with Hyatt’s data governance and compliance standards.
•Product Prioritization & Execution: Drive the planning, scoping, and prioritization of products; gather requirements, define features and their priority, manage the backlog, and ensure timely delivery.
•Data Quality & Compliance: Establish standards for data quality, monitoring, and recourse, and ensure new product and algorithmic requirements adhere to Hyatt policies and contracts.
•Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, IT, and business leaders to understand their needs, represent the team, and align resources and priorities with Hyatt’s strategic goals.
•Enterprise-Wide Adoption: Promote adoption of HR data products across the organization, educating teams on product use cases and value.
•Continuous Improvement: Develop frameworks for self-service analytics and algorithms, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR analytics best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business field; a Master’s in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience guiding the strategy of data products to meet business objectives and deliver value, with a proven track record of success.
- 3+ years of product management experience, including managing, building, or launching enterprise or consumer software, applications, or business intelligence tools, with a history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of HR data, terminology, and processes, along with experience collaborating with HR teams to understand data requirements and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of modern data infrastructure, data governance, and agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder needs.
- Ability to foster a data-driven, customer-focused culture.
