Role Overview:
The role involves a variety of tax-related responsibilities, including the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns, consolidation of federal tax returns, and assistance with quarterly estimated tax payments. The candidate will be involved in the tax return information gathering process, interacting with finance department and business unit personnel. Additionally, the role requires the preparation and assistance with US GAAP current and deferred tax provisions and related analysis for asset management entities. The candidate will also assist in gathering information necessary to respond to IRS IDRs, perform basic tax research and analysis, and participate in special projects.
What You'll Do:
- Review/prepare federal and state tax returns and related workpapers. Assist with consolidation of the federal tax return.
- Assist with quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Assist /perform in the tax return information gathering process, including interaction with finance department and business unit personnel.
- Prepare/assist US GAAP current and deferred tax provisions and related analysis for asset management entities.
- Assist in gathering information necessary to respond to IRS IDRs, as needed. Perform basic tax research and analysis.
- Assist with special projects.
What You'll Bring:
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required, Master's Degree preferred (MS or MBA)
- 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting for insurance companies or tax compliance for both life and non-life insurance companies
- Strong Excel and other tax technology skills
- Knowledge of Corptax is a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of tax accounting under ASC 740 and basic federal and state tax compliance skills.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range:$77,500-$125,000
Overtime eligible:Exempt

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
