Supports Wealth relationship team in creating and delivering advanced planning advice to current and prospective clients with a primary focus on Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and prospects. Engages in activities that help drive the enhancement of the overall planning group including adding to the collective expertise of the group, educating teammates, and improving service, processes, and systems.

Will assist the wealth team members on the most complex financial, tax, legacy and estate planning matters including summarizing and evaluating complex financial documents, trust documents, wills, retirement accounts and other planning information for High and Ultra-High Net Worth clients and prospective clients. Must possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining the highest standard of competency and work quality by delivering comprehensive, accurate and complete client deliverables consistent with UHNW level complexity and quality.

May be asked to meet with clients and prospective clients on a periodic basis.

1. Impact: The Senior Advice and Planning Analyst’s primary purpose is providing complex actionable solutions commensurate with the scope of the most complex UHNW client needs with advanced deliverables and solutions that relate back to that scope.
2. Expertise: Delivering solutions commensurate with UHNW families’ needs that may include: Complex review, analysis and diagram of existing estate plan and modeling of advanced estate, legacy and tax planning options/strategies. Creation of complex personal balance sheets, budgeting and other advanced customized financial statements; Capital sufficiency and other complex custom financial planning analysis commensurate with the needs of UHNW families.
3. Advice Integration: Proactively engaging with the team and clients to assess and discover appropriate scope of customized, complex UHNW client needs. Demonstrating superior understanding of the advice and planning process, how it relates to, is implemented, and is explained to teammates UHNW clients, and prospects.
4. Advice Process Excellence: Proven ability to effectively execute the financial planning and advice process as it relates to the needs of UHNW families including: Identifying and prioritizing goals and objectives, gathering data, analyzing current course and potential alternative courses of action, developing and presenting recommendations, partnering for implementation and monitoring progress
5. Productivity/Efficiency: Maintaining an efficient, effective, prioritized workload and workflow. Communicating current and ongoing status of work to team and client as well as results of those efforts using appropriate systems. Practicing superior time management, sensitivity to deadlines and appropriate allocation of resources in accordance with opportunity and complexity;
6. New Business/Retention: Helping drive new revenue by participation in creation, planning and or attendance at strategy sessions and client new business/opportunity presentations and meetings. Delivering superior level of client service to retain clients. This includes: Anticipating client and advisor needs through proactive behavior, taking of initiative and keeping constant communication. Identifying at risk situations and keeping team and management informed. Cultivating relationships with next generation beneficiaries leading to our ability to enhance our client families’ experience as well as being able to continue working with families across wealth transition events.
7. Knowledge and Technological Relevance: Keeping current on the most advanced estate, tax and planning trends and their application to the Elements of Wealth as they relate to solutions for our clients. Maintaining and pursuing professional credentials that are necessary or enhance ability to deliver superior client solutions to High and Ultra-High Net Worth clients. Maintain proficiency in all planning software as well as company systems in order to not only analyze a client's needs but to efficiently determine the most advantageous outcomes.
8. Specialization/Thought Leadership: Acts a leader in helping to empower our team and organization through activities that make us deeper in expertise, efficiency and overall breadth of superior advice. Activities include: participation in white papers and group initiatives relating to complex Elements of Wealth, helping to build, maintain and improve tools, systems as well as volunteering for projects that improve our ability to deliver superior advanced advice across all teams.
9. Coaching/Team Development: Acts a leader in proactively engaging in the growth and development of teammates within the Advice and Planning Group and across the High and Ultra-High Net Worth segments. Regularly collaborating, offering guidance, suggestions, and constructive feedback to teammates including intra-team development and mentorship, helping out workload of other teammates and collaborating on presentations, projects and initiatives with teammates.
10. Process Adherence: Every Truist teammate is responsible for exhibiting key behaviors that align with our Code of Ethics and support our risk management culture. This includes preserving the confidential nature of our client’s personal financial data and acquisition and sharing this data according to Truist’s policies including compliance with all related bank, regulatory, and legal guidelines/requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Eight years of client advisory experience working with high or ultra-high net worth families with some prior experience working exclusively in the ultra-high net worth space and/or family office setting
2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, and at least one of the following: JD, LLM, MS in Taxation, MSFS, ChFC, CFP, CPA, CFA or comparable advanced knowledge course of study.
3. Proven superior technical knowledge of issues relating to financial planning in the High and Ultra-High Net Worth segments, including income tax, investments, debt management, retirement planning, employee benefits, stock options, insurance, and estate planning
4. Track record of helping to drive new wealth management related revenue.
5. Team-player, as well as have an ability to work in an independent work environment.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a proven ability to solve complex problems.
7. Excellent technical skills including Excel, Power Point and the ability to quickly learn selected and/or proprietary financial planning software
8. Must be able to learn and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, using innovation in balancing and focusing on the highest priorities first each and every day to meet required deadlines.
9. Proven experience with group facilitation, presentations, and/or public speaking
10. Strong written, verbal, problem solving, and analytical skills
11. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in a prior financial professional field (i.e. accounting, law, tax, etc.).
2. Graduate degree in business, financial services, accounting, law, or other related discipline.
3. Five years of prior experience working exclusively in the ultra-high net worth space and/or family office setting
4. Experience working in upper end of Ultra High Net Worth Space ($50MM+)
