Cybersecurity Portfolio & Product Management has an opening for a Scrum Master role. Reporting to the Sr Manager of Execution Services, this role will be integral part of the Execution services team made of Scrum Masters and Program managers.
What you're good at
- Organizes and facilitates effective Scrum meetings: backlog grooming, Sprint planning, daily Scrum, Sprint review, and Sprint retrospective.
- Encourages their teams to routinely inspect and adapt.
- Identifies and facilitates the removal of team impediments and escalate as appropriate.
- Works with and coach Product Owners to develop, manage, and continuously groom the team's product backlog.
- In partnership with the Product Owner, track and communicate to stakeholders' information such as team velocity, Sprint/release progress, impediments, team successes, etc.
- In coordination with Project Managers, facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration when projects require it.
- Assist Product Managers, Product Owners and Project Managers with planning and grooming activities.
What you have
- 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master
- Led agile teams as part of Agile transformation
- Day to day Agile team execution and go-to person for issue resolution
- Communicative and social skills - Able to communicate well with your Teams.
- A thorough understanding and appreciation for the Agile values and principles.
- Thorough understanding of:
- Backlog grooming and relative estimating
- Release planning
- Sprint planning
- Scrum metrics such as Sprint burndown, release burnup, & velocity, to name a few
- Sprint review best practices and techniques
- A variety of retrospective techniques
- Expert at using Jira
- Expert using Confluence
- Certified Scrum Master and/or other Agile certifications preferred
Desired
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working in a Cybersecurity organization
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $59 to $66 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
