Description:

This position is responsible for providing design engineering expertise for product development projects. This role will be responsible for contributing as a design team member, to the product design, testing, and development for projects and initiatives related to Andersen Division product lines. Projects may involve design of new capabilities, features, or options, cost, quality, and performance enhancements of product lines. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and technical writing / presentation skills.  Additional responsibilities include technical documentation, technical presentations, PLM, production support, certification support, and participation in quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives. The individual will be a member of the RDI New Product Development Team within the Andersen Division, requiring collaborative interaction with management, external customers, manufacturing, marketing, finance, sales, service, packaging engineering, materials engineering, and code and regulatory affairs.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $78,000-$82,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong aptitude in process improvement, problem solving, and project management
  • Understanding of relevant methodologies and tools (e.g. SPC, ERP, MDMAIC)
  • Developing knowledge of lean, manufacturing, business, and quality systems
  • BS Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong design experience
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks and effectively perform work to completion

In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
