Pump Hydraulic Design Engineer

Work with the latest innovations

You will work on Hydraulic Pumps in a collaborative environment on a multidisciplinary team. You will work with scientists and other engineers to enhance the technical features of products.

As a Pump Hydraulic Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop new pump stage design ideas using analytical and numerical simulation tools to enhance the existing advanced portfolio of pump stage designs.

  • Study the existing pump designs and propose ideas to improve their suitability for the desired application

  • Cross collaborate to build prototypes, gather and analyze experimental data and utilize the data for new pump design validations

  • Presenting product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.

  • Supporting market research to determine what types of products might be successful among adjacent markets.

  • Collaborate with the product management team to support market research and determine the types of products that could be successful among adjacent markets.
  • Providing inputs and influencing decisions within own discipline and area.

  • Communicating recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations. Involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties.

  • Participate in complex decision-making processes with internal and external stakeholder
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments with appropriate abatement plans.
  • Document technical information and findings.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Turbomachinery design and Mechanical Component.
  • Have fundamental knowledge of turbomachinery equipment design and experience in designing Centrifugal Pumps
  • Excellent design, modelling and simulation skills using analytical and numerical tools including but not limited to Unigraphics NX, and CFX (ANSYS).
