Baker Hughes is seeking a New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager specializing in Pressure Safety Valves (PSV). The NPD Project Manager leads and coordinates multidisciplinary teams-including Engineering, Production, Procurement/Supply, Configuration, and Sizing tool-across multiple international locations (e.g., USA, France, India, China). The primary responsibility is to oversee the successful execution of new product development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. This role requires a dynamic individual with the ability to understand detailed project requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and analyze key parameters to drive project success.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing and validating needs with product managers and understanding the requirements for the new product to be developed.
- Evaluating the needs (material, resources, prototype, etc.) required to carry out the project
- Analyzing and measuring risks that may occur during completion.
- Establishing project structures and operating rules (methods, piloting tools, etc.).
- Establishing project execution planning in collaboration with all project stakeholders (engineering, purchasing, methods, Configuration management, etc...)
- Managing the project in accordance with the processes and procedures
- Ensuring that projects are carried out on time, at cost and in compliance with the initial requirements validated with the product managers.
- Piloting and coordinating matrix execution teams from Engineering, Production, Procurement/Supply, Management configuration, ValvStream.
- Conducting regular reviews with internal stakeholders to monitor performance during implementation, with associated indicators and implement corrective actions, if necessary.
- Being the preferred contact of the Product Manager (USA) and communicating (reporting) the progress of the project to the business leaders (USA)
- Using feedback and good practices to promote continuous improvement within the NPD Group
- Improving the process and practices to meet business in terms of quality and cost and delivery time.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a minimum 10 years of experience in a project management position within a technical or mechanical environment
- Be proficient in English both oral and written
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Be proficient with MS Office Suite, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Know how to anticipate events and designing appropriate and creative strategies/solutions
- Possess relationship and communication skills to build a relationship of trust with support teams and leadership.
- Possess experience managing multiple projects simultaneously as well as promoting and managing change in a dynamic environment
- Possess experience working with multiple time zones and cultures
