Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Summer Intern in our Optical Components Center. Candidates will be placed in a fast paced and exciting work environment where we develop advanced optical manufacturing techniques to support Lockheed Martin's best-in-class products and solutions.

The intern will work alongside our manufacturing engineers to support our production operations and next generation systems development. Scope of work will include collaboration in a dynamic team environment, to solve engineering challenges.

Process engineering scope of focus is to support our deposition and lithography processes through hands on experimentation, technical analysis, and documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or related STEM field.

Background in/experience with one or more of the following:
- Thin film deposition or photolithography
- Metrology tools (interferometry, profilometry, CMM, SEM, ellipsometer etc.)
Desired Skills:
Preferred enrollment in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Background in/experience with one or more of the following:
- Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Data collection and analysis

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
