Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to join our Global Battle Management & Readiness (GBMR) Division Business Management team in McLean, Virginia or full time teleworker. The selected candidate will report to the GBMR Division Financial Planning and Reporting Manager.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Actively working with a team to achieve organizational and individual goals
• Manage the quarterly EAC review process, providing technical guidance and review
• Support and coordinate revenue recognition review of new awards/contracts (internal C-901 process)
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting data and analyses in support of the Company's US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure requirements
• Support the monthly reporting close process, including preparation of routine journal entries
• Coordination and collaboration with BU/OU/Program teams on a recurring basis
• Proactive process improvement approach to recurring deliverables, with a focus on increased data fidelity and reduced cycle time
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have 9 plus years of applicable experience in lieu of degree or 5 plus years of applicable experience with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Master's degree or CPA may be traded for 2 plus years of experience. Both may be traded for a total of 3 years of experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel (i.e. pivot tables and lookup formulas) and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment with interpersonal, planning, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Program cost and schedule control experience (PCA)
• Experience with SAP or S/4 Hana
• Experience with Cognos Analytics (internal NGFP)
Salary Range: $80,600 - $133,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
