Offensive Coach, Dominican Summer League

Position Summary:
This coach will work with relevant staff, coordinators, Player Development front office staff to implement the organizational offensive development program and execute individual player plans at the Twins Dominican Republic facility.

- Collaborate with offensive leadership (hitting, game-planning, baserunning) to develop individualized player plans.
- Communicate development plans, goals, and progress to both players and relevant staff members.
- Utilize modern technology and statistics to analyze performance and track progress.
- Collaborate with offensive coordinator group to build out and manage skill development programs.
- Work with the front office to implement organizational initiatives.
- Collaborate with Strength & Conditioning, Athletic Training, and Medical staff to identify and develop remedies to improve physical limitations.
- Work with Sports Psych team to implement mental skills initiatives into daily schedules.
- Plan hitting practice and offensive programming while coordinating with other field staff members.
- Coaching experience.
- Ability to use and interpret modern hitting technology and information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with people in a variety of departments - including players, coaches, coordinators, and front office staff.
- Interest in player development, strength & conditioning, analytics and advanced stats.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Professional or collegiate playing.
- Strength & Conditioning related degree.
- Ability to throw batting practice.
- Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of work day.
- Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer, keyboard and telephone.
- Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to walk steps to visit fans during games.
- Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, dining room, etc.
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling.
