Cook Children's, in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Miller Neighborhood Health Center. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant fluent in Spanish and English to join our busy practice. The NP/PA functions in a collaborative practice with physicians in a Neighborhood Health Center setting with a patient population of >90% government payor or underinsured population. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Is able to evaluate and incorporate social determinants of health into treatment plan. Works alongside a multidisciplinary team to effectively support a high volume of socially and medically complex patients. Supports physician to meet empaneled patient demand and quality goals. Serves as a patient advocate by collaborating with others to connect families to needed resources. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs. Serves as a resource for office clinical personnel as needed along with precepting new providers.
Education and Experience
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
Master's Degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Physician Assistants
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses:
Current Texas professional registered nurse license
Current Texas professional advanced practice registered nurse license
Certified as a Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner required
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) required
Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Physician Assistants:
Current Texas professional physician assistant license
Certified as a PA-C
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) required
