POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Product Design Engineer, you will partner with R&D teams as well as manufacturing and quality teams to develop solutions for current and next generation window and door products. You will influence the system form factor, product performance, and customer experience for those using our products.  You will be a key contributor in our mission to become a world class customer experience company through our products and services.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  •  2 years of experience with 3D CAD modeling
  •  1 year experience working on product development, including prototyping and testing
  •  Experience with dimensional engineering and tolerance analysis


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  5 years of experience working in Research and Development or working in a product development environment
  •  Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems involving product and process
  •  Experience with test method creation and improvement
  •  Experience with characterization, process monitoring, specifications, failure analysis and data analysis
  •  Ability to present facts to team members at all levels and backgrounds
  •  Ability to code in Python, Java, or similar language
  •  Knowledge of manufacturing, lean, and process improvement methodology
  •  Knowledge of the building industry
  •  Hands on practical experience building something, either personal or professional

COMPENSATION: 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $88,235 - $136,765.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
