The MPulse Nurse is responsible for the care and supervision of all medical services. This care includes looking after ill or injured campers or staff, administering medication, communication with parents and counselors, organization of medical information and medications and first-aid kits.
Full Time: June 12 - July 26, 2025
Assignment Duration: 6 weeks
Reports to: MPulse Program Manager
Responsibilities*
- Assist in organizing and setting up the Camp Connect Health Office
- Making sure inventory of First-Aid kits is supplied and maintained
- Maintain insurance forms and camper health forms
- Accept and store all prescription
- Administer prescription and over-the-counter drugs when necessary
- Illness and injury management
- Communication with parents and counselors of camper's illness or injury
- Providing First Aid for:
- non-emergency medical needs
Required Qualifications*
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Michigan
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Experience working with children and youth
- Ability to maintain health forms and paperwork
- Ability to maintain and administer all medications
- Ability to make decisions and take initiative under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- This position involves traveling to various locations across campus for program needs and delivering materials.
