Job Summary

The Manager of Operations Accounting will manage general accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results. Formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.

● Accurate reporting of revenue, including deferrals
● Manage inventory obsolescence with operations
● No significant out-of-period adjustments

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Manager of Operations Accounting will oversee a team of accounting professionals to support the field operations for Pest, Distribution, Ambius and other businesses with focus on the following;
● Ensure the accurate reporting of monthly revenue
● Own the revenue recognition process to ensure compliance with accounting principles on deferred revenue, flux analyses, and related SOX controls
● Lead the development and implementation of new accounting policies and memos and the maintenance of existing ones
● Review customer contracts for revenue recognition to ensure compliance with company policies and appropriate revenue recognition standards
● Seek out and implement process improvement initiatives that increase the efficiency and accuracy of revenue monthly close process
● Support finance teams in forecasting and annual budget processes
● Provide detailed analysis and insight to operational functions to support growth initiatives in the business
● Partner closely with Transactional Services for accelerated collections process and FP&A partners on forecasting
● On a monthly basis, review financial results with a focus on revenue and materials & supplies
trends, and make recommendations for corrective action to mitigate variances from the plan
● Communicate any material change to the forecast/budget as soon as known
● Align with product / marketing to evaluate impact of new product offerings for impacts to accounting (e.g., deferred accounting) with the Technical Accounting team
● Work with M&A to migrate new acquisition to RTX tech stack
● Develop, manage, and coach staff members on the Operations Accounting team to foster career
growth
● Manage assigned controls and ensure controls are in compliance with company policy with a focus on a risk-based approach
● Identify & implement areas of efficiency, automation and acceleration for close process
● Review balance sheet reconciliations and prepare detailed fluctuation analysis for accounting
leadership
● Ensure security and integrity of Rentokil North America’s financial information

● Assist with Internal and External Audits
● Perform all other duties as assigned

CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience

● >6 years of experience in progressive financial leadership
● Experience working with a large team and oversight of team members
● Experience with multi-unit organization

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

● Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience -
Required
● MBA in finance, accounting or related field - Preferred
