Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician works on-site to complete all maintenance and groundskeeping tasks as directed by their supervisor. Their responsibilities include completing daily work orders, performing preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining proper groundskeeping, trash removal, equipment repair, and other necessary duties.
What You Will Do
Maintenance and Safety:
- Complete work orders for residential units and common areas as needed.
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use.
- Knowledge of painting and drywall repair.
- Adhering to preventive maintenance programs to the building as required.
- Identify and repair potential safety hazards.
- Adhere to the company safety policies and safety measures.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
Other:
- Must be able to work a full shift / required work schedule on-site the property.
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis.
- Must be available for additional hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
- Must be available to assist with move-outs, turn, and move-ins that extend beyond normal full-time hour.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, as required by the demands of the job. This may include bending, stooping, and lifting throughout the workday.
Ideally, you'll have
- High School or equivalent education preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience.
- Basic understanding of MEP systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods and processes.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Be a Certified Pool Operator (CPO)or able to attain within the first 3 months of employment.
Specifications (All Engineering Staff)
- The ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Must be able to work in environmentally and physically challenging working conditions.
- Must be able to demonstrate safe work practices and the proper use of PPE.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, valid insurance, and reliable transportation.
You'll crush it if you have experience with
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Experience with Entrata
