The Maintenance Engineer role will provide general engineering services and technical support to the Dragline Services Group for structural and mechanical concerns within the dragline fleet. In addition, this role will help support and oversee the preventative maintenance programs and structural inspection programs for the dragline fleet. This role will also oversee the repair program for the dragline buckets.
What you’ll do?
- Review structural inspection reports from the mechanical integrity group and assist the dragline services maintenance group with prioritizing and developing adequate repair plans. This would include support for both routine repair days which occur weekly and large outages or turnarounds which include more significant repairs.
- Oversee, assist with, and review mechanical inspection reports on gearing and other mechanical wear components and assist the dragline services maintenance group in prioritizing and developing adequate repair plans.
- Inspect and develop repair scopes for the dragline bucket fleet and work with contract maintenance partners to bid out and oversee these repairs.
- Manage any changes to the PM/PdM programs that are overseen by the dragline services group.
- Partner with the site reliability groups to review lubrication sample reports and work with the dragline services maintenance group to prioritize lubrication filtering and replacement.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering required.
- Structural Engineering PE Certification is preferred.
- Experience with welding procedures is preferred.
- American Gearing Manufacturers Association (AGMA) gear inspection certification preferred.
- Machinery Lubrication Analyst (MLA) level 1 & 2 certification is preferred.
- Vibration Analysis Level 1 certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office is required.
- Proficient working in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) – Maximo or SAP is preferred.
- Good communication and presentation skills are required.
Engineer Level Requirements:
Engineer III
- 4+ years of engineering experience.
Engineer Senior
- 8+ years of engineering experience
