As a Machinist you will be responsible for the creation of products using Computer Numerical Control machining techniques. You'll be working with a collaborative team in an innovative, high-technology facility based in an incredible location. You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge, ability and shape energy products of the future.
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and setting up CNC machining equipment in a workshop environment to ensure safety and reliability
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications to determine dimensions of finished pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements
- Starting and observing machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine controls as required
- Executing documentation of processes to enable quality product builds
- Loading and unloading of parts into machines by using a crane to ensure successful setup for production and for logistics
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- High school or GED is required for this position
- 1 year or more experience working with a CNC Lathe or Mill
- 1 year or more experience working with measuring equipment/hand tools.
- 1 year or more experience reading blueprints.
- 1 year or more experience reading and perform functions to product specifications.
- Experience downloading Lathe programs is a plus but not a requirement.
- This is a 2nd shift position - 4pm-2am Monday - Friday plus overtime as needed.
- Be willing to gain industry experience and undergo internal development and training
