JOB SUMMARYThe Communications Intern will support the Communications team by assisting with the development of storylines, Press Releases, and other communication related materials, tracking various media stories, researching facts and other details, etc.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB SUMMARYThe Communications Intern will support the Communications team by assisting with the development of storylines, Press Releases, and other communication related materials, tracking various media stories, researching facts and other details, etc.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and track media clips via the internet and organize clips/media coverage.
- Update the LPGA Tour resource information, including the LPGA Tour Online Media Center.
- Maintain media e-mail distribution lists.
- Draft sports and lifestyle media pitches.
- Prepare fact sheets and backgrounders.
- Assist in the development of press releases.
- Assist with research for new media opportunities, stories, and notes.
- Assist with event coordination.
- Knowledge of basic Communications, Media Relations and Public Relations principles and procedures.
- Knowledge and interest in professional golf.
- Skilled in writing and editing, public relations, content creation, and communication strategies.
- Skilled in written and oral communication.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Ability to be proactive, have excellent organizational skills, and perform efficiently.
- Ability to be detail oriented and deliver accurate work within established deadlines.
INTERNSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited College or University.
- Progress toward a degree, major, or minor in Communications, English, Journalism, Broadcasting, or other related discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,)
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of application.
- Must be junior or senior level. Grad students and recent grads will be considered.
PROJECTED INTERNSHIP SCHEDULE
- Internship Duration: June 2025 to August 2025
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
