Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics
Silver Spring, MD/Rockville MD
MUST:
Experienced Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics
2+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Experience working with pediatric patients
Administering injections
Performing various clinical tests and exams
Licensed n the state of Maryland as a Licensed Practical Nurse
DUTIES:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Take direction from Clinical Director
Triage and room patients
Perform nursing procedures under supervision providers
Assist providers in exam rooms
Obtain vitals and histories
Document and update patient information in EMR
Provide patient education and instructions to patients
Ensure all related reports, labs and information is uploaded to EMR records prior to appointments
Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and instruments
Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff
Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
