National Grid is hiring aLead Analyst, Capital Contract Managementfor Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations.
Job Purpose
The New England Electric Contract Administration & Performance Team manages, supports, and monitors contracts and contractual relationshipsfor outsourced complex and non-complex electric construction contracts for National Grid.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the business and the Contract Management team in interpretation of contracts, understanding of business requirements, issue resolution, contractor compliance, and management of contractors to contract terms.
- Liaison between the Contract Management team and corporate legal and commercial legal teams.
- Draft and provide technical review for formal correspondence and notices provided to contractors
- Serve as the point of contact for escalations contract issues.
- Assess contractor performance to identify need for action.
- Provide input in contract development phase for performance measures and processes to be included.
- Foster relationships with external contractors along with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Construction, Project/Program Management, Procurement, Engineering, Safety and Emergency Planning
- Support development and review of contract terms, contract specifications for framework contract RFPs.
- Support the New England External Line Resource Unit during weather events
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Master's level in engineering and/or a business or legal discipline preferred.
- 5+ years post-graduation experience in a number of roles requiring successful management of contracts or construction related management.
- 5+ years of directly applicable construction contracting experience or lesser years of experience if possessing law degree and legal background.
- 3-5 years of experience managing, coaching teams and developing employees preferred
- 3-5 years of experience making presentations to upper management preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint, Power Point, Excel and Word required
- Valid driver's license required
- Further skills that would be a plus are earned value management, certifications in contract management, project management, JD, other relevant disciplines.

Salary - $118,000 - $139,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
