Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism is accepting applications for the Spring 2025 (January 13- April 25, 2025) Internships. The Park Ranger Technician position will support the Park Rangers in providing customer service, park management, programming, conservation and general maintenance work.

Learning Objectives include:

• Customer service.
• Assists with facilitating of various programs, camps and activities.
• Assists with daily facility operations of concessions, campground, rentals, and store.
• Organize and manage recreation equipment and supplies.
• Perform general custodial, and grounds maintenance tasks; set -up and breakdown of various recreation equipment, tables, chairs, pop-up tents, barricades and fencing.
• Actively participate in programs, activities and event with diverse groups.
• Assists with logistical operations for various special events and activities.
• Processes point of sale transactions and reconciles collected funds.
• May prepare and sell food items.
• Assist Park Rangers with visitor management and enforcement of park rules and regulations.
