This is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility a few days a week.

Summary:

The Bookkeeper will assist the Accounting Manager in ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of our monthly financial statements, management reports, and related analysis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the systems of internal controls, and applying basic accounting concepts, methods, and procedures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare adjusting journal entries and accruals for month-end close and ensure corporate reporting deadlines are met.
  • Prepare schedule of intercompany accruals to assist corporate finance with elimination entries.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with quarterly rebate processing and payments.
  • Prepare and send invoices for commissions and fees to carriers/clients.
  • Process remote check deposits, post cash receipts, and apply payments to Accounts Receivable.
  • Work in conjunction with other teams to assist with collections.
  • Submit invoices to Accounts Payable and ensure invoices are properly coded.
  • Ensure vendor information is up to date and accurate in Accounts Payable system.
  • Assist in maintaining financial databases for internal reporting purposes.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial and management reports as requested.
  • Complete special projects as directed by the Accounting Manager.

Minimum Requirements for Education, Experience, and Certifications/Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to GAAP reporting standards.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Must be detailed oriented and possess the ability to multitask.
  • QuickBooks and/or Lawson ERP systems experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience in the pharmacy benefit management, healthcare, or related industry is preferred.

Travel:

Little to no travel required.
