In this important role, the Leaves Coordinator is responsible for administering leave requests and medical accommodations to ensure and promote compliance with Riverside policy and applicable state and federal leave and labor laws. This includes providing consultation with employees and/or managers for all medical leaves including those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), MA Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), other state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans.
The Leaves Coordinator works closely with the Benefits, Employee Relations and Payroll teams to communicate leave updates impacting HR and Finance and will provide back-up for other HR functions as needed.
Schedule: 20 hours per week; Five 4-hour days preferred; Hybrid

Required Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality; comfortable presenting to groups in-person and virtually
- Must be highly organized, independent, and efficient; uses good judgement to recognize areas to raise to HR management
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) required; experience with HRIS systems and/or other databases
- Working knowledge of leaves administration and federal and state laws governing employment practices preferred
Required Experience
- College degree preferred; High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 1-3 years of Human Resources experience or related field required
