Full Job Description
Must be 18 years old or over and must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Prefer some college level courses in Early Childhood and the Health field. Two years of experience in working with pre-school age children preferred. Must have good communication skills and be capable of working productively as a team member with other Head Start employees, families and professionals. Must have good organizational skills. Must have dependable transportation to travel throughout the Big Five Head Start area. Must comply with agency policies and procedures. Must comply with agency policies and procedures. Eligible applicants must pass a DHS Background review. Preemployment drug testing required. Must have a valid Oklahoma drivers license, proof of automobile liability insurance and a good driving record. Within 30 days of employment must be Pediatric first aid and CPR certified. Ability to respond appropriately (both mentally and physically) to an emergency or a crisis situation. Daily kneeling, stooping, bending, and sitting on the floor to attend to children's needs. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
