Job Summary:

NRG is seeking a smart, enthusiastic, and collaborative individual to make valued contributions to the company - The leading energy supplier for millions of residential customers in the United States and Canada. This is an opportunity to enter the fast-paced, exciting world of the Go-to- Market function and to become a part of a fast-growing business that is poised for further investment in the near term.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drive and develop market strategies to increase consideration and achieve competitive advantage, utilizing market assessments, customer research and data, competitive analysis, marketplace trends and growth opportunities.
  • Identify segments in each market and determine which to target based on overall impact to the business. Identify opportunities to improve value propositions or product mix based on target segment or market.
  • Define and own goals and key performance metrics for select campaigning; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development of Go-to-Market strategies and major market initiatives, including selection of mass product offering.
  • Lead cross-functional development of market research plan to leverage consumer insights from internal and external sources to ensure the direction of the brand is based on consumer trends and brand awareness.
  • Provide strategic brief for Marketing Communications to develop mass and quarterly campaigns consistent with brand positioning. Inform creative and communication strategy.
  • Stay informed of current market trends and competitive developments in order to continually enhance strategic position in major markets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Options for hybrid remote (3 days in office) working arrangement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of work experience.

  • Creative thinker and problem solver who asks "what if?"
  • Enthusiastic idea generator who wins support of others and inspires other to find creative solutions.
  • Strong relationship skills and natural collaborator.
  • Natural curiosity with a desire to learn about multiple business functions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong skills in all Microsoft products, especially Excel and Power Point.
