Group Lead Chemistry Main Department
This position leads a laboratory group by assisting in the coordination of routine Quality Control testing. Performs required testing in accordance with methods and properly documents test results. Coordinates analyst training and ensures proper documentation. Recognizes and reacts to problems associated with laboratory procedures. Performs investigations of out-of-limits results.
Responsibilities:
• Manages quality control activities to ensure compliance with company standards and GMP regulatory guidelines
• Supervises activities of testing/development of analytical methods/laboratory programs
• Ensures testing and validation of analytical methods and deviation investigations are completed on schedule according to specifications
• Assists laboratory heads with investigations related to lab programs
• Maintains data in LIMS and approves GMP-related quality control systems including departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Collaborates to support problem solving activities, ensure quality control training and implement corrective actions
Qualifications:
Education -
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, etc.); advanced degree a plus
Experience -
• 5+ years' experience in microbiological and biological, chemical or biochemical analytics in a pharmaceutical/medicinal GMP environment
• Management/demonstrated leadership experience
• Knowledge of test methods, method validation, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $94,000 - $124,000. Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role may also include incentive compensation and equity.
