Full Job Description
As part of this position you will
- Up level BCG’s social media presence to be a voice in business
- Ensure BCG’s visibility for key audiences across core social media channels. To this end you will also leverage and oversee social paid campaigns, use storytelling and state-of-the-art content approaches as well as take care of attractive visualizations of social media assets
- Orchestrate content amplification on social media both globally and locally in different regions worldwide and across BCG’s Practice Area Management teams
- Enable the BCG Leadership Team and staff to be active on social media
- Oversee the Social Media Studio
- Work closely with the analytics team to integrate and measure the value and impact of the global social media strategy, measures, and actions on a daily basis
- Lead a sizeable and diverse team of social media professionals and create an engaged and inclusive team culture
- Work in close collaboration with colleagues from aligned communication channels (e.g., press, website and direct client communications) in an agile way of working
- Shaping the BCG narrative for BCG’s key audiences in terms of transforming BCG’s thought leadership content into social media messages
- Understanding the social media environment and deriving implications for BCG’s vision
- Working collaboratively across teams in a matrixed organization – establishing strong collaborative relationships (e.g. with press team, website team, Practice Area Marketing, topic experts and more) using team building skills to gain cooperation and support
- Having a good sense of the broader news agenda to connect it to BCG thought leadership content
- Driving social media strategy through ideation, execution and optimization even in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in leading a social media function
- Editorial knowledge is a strong advantage
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of expertise. Master Degree or MBA a plus
- Proven track record of growing a large social media presence across different social media platforms
- High education about functionality of all applicable social media platforms as well as understanding of analytics
- Advanced communication skills: oral, written and active listening (including senior leadership presentations/meetings)
- Ability to work with different markets, cultures and travel as required
- Fluent written and spoken English skills
