Summary

This position is located at Administrative Resource Center (ARC), within the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (FS). The mission of ARC is to promote government efficiency by delivering cost effective and quality administrative and financial services through a shared services model.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-07. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

  • Provide daily customer service in a help desk environment on accounting and procurement system related requests as well as technical questions as they relate to the systems.
  • Ensure requested system changes and updates in the financial systems are made accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with navigating users through various financial systems.
  • Route documents to proper approving official.

  • Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years.

  • This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.

For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:

- Experience providing customer service and technical assistance to internal and external customers; AND
- Experience conveying technical information to customers and/or team members AND
- Research and identify issues in an automated system.


For the GS-06 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:

- Experience providing general customer service via telephone and email in a help desk environment; AND
- Experience applying policies and procedures to support customer needs.


For the GS-05 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes TWO of the three:

- Providing general customer service via telephone or other electronic means; OR
- Use of an automated system; OR
- Gather pertinent data, identify problems and recognize solutions.

OR
- You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: 4 years above high school

OR
-You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.

Your rating may be lowered if your responses to the online questions are not supported by the education and/or experience described in your application.
